Purple Hull Pea Festival

Purple Hull Peas are the caviar of the South, but it takes a lot of purple thumbs shelling those peas to get a spoonful. Cotton Pickin’ Pumpkin Festival

It’s cotton harvest time here on Wise Family Farm and we are celebrating by hosting the 2nd annual “Pickin Cotton For Kids” a fundraiser for St. Jude. You will have the opportunity to pick cotton for $2.00 which will be donated to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital. There will be a cotton picking contest among local groups. Have S’more Fun Weekend

Come enjoy the last weekend on the farm this season. We will have campfires on the farm with free s'mores set up and a complimentary movie under the stars this weekend only. Don’t forget your bug spray, blankets or lawn chairs. Movie will start at 6:30 p.m. The event is 10:00 am to 10:00 p.m Saturday (last admission is sold at 9:00 p.m.) and 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday (last admission is sold at 6:00 p.m.)

Scarecrow Sunday

The farm is only open to any group, business, or families that would like to team up and compete in the St. Jude Scarecrow Event. Groups are invited to create a scarecrow scene along the scarecrow trail which will be judged by our visitors throughout the fall season. Homeschool Group Days

September 24 - September 26

The farm is open 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for Home School Groups. These groups will receive the student discount and can come do a self- guided agriculture tour. There will be staff on hand to answer any questions your student may have. This will include the pumpkin patch, corn maze, wagon ride, flower picking, picking cotton for St. Jude and all the fun activities the farm has to offer. The grill will also be open for lunches and snacks.

Special Needs Days

These days are reserved for special needs groups only. This is a low key day for you to bring your group out and avoid the large crowds. With smaller groups, you can feel more confident that your children will enjoy the farm more. Sunflowers and Songbirds Weekend

October 5 - October 6

Come out to the farm and gather up a bouquet of flowers to take home to brighten up a space or share them with someone you love. Not only do we have the much loved Yellow Sunflowers and zinnias but this year we planted a specialty crop of flowers. These flowers are located in Grandmother Wise’s Flower Garden here on our farm. Scarecrow Fun Weekend

October 12 - October 13

Any child that comes to the farm this weekend dressed as a scarecrow will get a free small snow cone. Saturday at 2:00 p.m., we will have a scarecrow costume contest. Winners will receive a free pass to come back the weekend of Story Book Trail for trick or treat. Afterwards, we will have a scarecrow parade around the farm and then line up for snow cones.
